Currently known for being remote and difficult to reach, Timbuktu was an intellectual powerhouse centuries ago. At last the surviving manuscripts from a collection which could have probably rivalled that of the lost library of Alexandria are being studied, preserved and exhibited. This really promises to open up how you use your computer. I'm really tempted to download this and play around despite it being release 0.1, which I suppose means that it's an alpha, despite me being quite a coward over new stuff, and despite me wanting to enjoy having a computer which for the first time in weeks seems reasonably stable and seems to have returned to speed.
